Welcome to The Art of Byrd
Welcome to The Art of Byrd!

As with most blogs I'll lay before you an overview of what you should expect to see in this blog ( and will never see ) and what I hope to teach ( and will never get around to teaching ). My other blog is titled The Absent-Minded Buccaneer for a very good reason. This one is called The Art of Byrd for no reason at all. Well alright, I take that back...my pen name is Byrd and I do plan on showing off - ahem, I mean sharing - my art with me dear readers.
So without further prittle-prattle, here's what you can hope to see featured on "The Art of Byrd" in the coming years....
and lastly,
That last feature had to be snuck in of course otherwise this blog would of been titled The Wild and Wonderful World of Illustration. Still a good title, don't you think?
If you have any questions or comments about anything that will be posted here in the future feel free to spit them out and share them.

So without further prittle-prattle, here's what you can hope to see featured on "The Art of Byrd" in the coming years....
- ideas and inspiration in the world of illustration
- examples of various art styles
- tips and techniques from the masters ( alas, I not be among them. )
- a gallery of drawings from well-known and obscure illustrators
and lastly,
- a showcase of my art, carefully hidden among the stuff that you would rather read.
